Prison officials relent on releasing quadriplegic inmate

An appeals court ordered the release of rapist Steven Martinez, who was paralyzed in a prison attack, but the parole board had said he still posed a danger.

On the orders of a San Diego appeals court, California prison officials have agreed to release a bedridden inmate whom court officials describe as "an angry, repulsive person."
