For the second time in 12 years, Carnie Wilson has undergone gastric bypass surgery.
The singer underwent this lap-band procedure on January 18, she tells People, losing 30 pounds since that date and labeling the move as "the right decision" considering her weight loss struggle.
"I'm doing really well so far," Wilson says. "It's all about taking good care of myself."
Carnie, who experienced an unexpected career boot last year thanks to a cameo in Bridesmaids, is back together with Wilson Phillips on both a new album (it drops April 3) and a new TV Guide Network reality show (it premieres April 8 and is titled Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On).
She has two daughters and said in 2010 that shedding pregnancy pounds was a "frustrating" experience.
